English 12 (period 1): Read & analyze "Elegy Written in a Country Churchyard" & complete the activity on the handout you received in class.

English 12: Workshop #1 due Friday. Options include 1) an argument paper in response to Frank DeFord's column (see yesterday's post) 2) a personal response describing and evaluating an incident in which you did or did not quit 3) a short story exploring a character who, like Tiki Barber or Serena Williams, discovers that he/she no longer wants to continue in his/her field of expertise

English 9: Select 4 of your vocabulary words and use each one in a sentence. Also review nouns & verbs.
